qtvr autho studio draft process 2:20 pm 0119 2001 for: Mr. Field fr: robert lin online: http://robertlin.cjb.net/resource/files/qtvrauth-howto.txt jan 24 2001 req: - qtvr autho studio installed - photoshop/image editing program - process - img prep. ---------------- image will be rotated 90 degrees CW when imported to QTVR auth studio. therefore your raw landscape panoramic image strip should be rot. 90 CCW first in photoshop. then, make sure: width must be divisible by 4 hieght must be divisible by 96 process - start new project ---------------- open Auth studio file> new project, save process - make pano by importing ur image -------------------------------- project> new > panorama maker open it, add image (your image) i //it should be imported with the correct landscape orientatoin set tiles and set pano : // these files will contain instructions , all these settings so in case u need to do anything again it saves time set settings cinepak is good playback> panorama viewing size u might customize file> (x) flatten to data fork, allos it to be played on windows as well. if u "make panorama" now, then it will be an ordinary qtvr .mov, where you set pano. to continue, simply close this panorama maker window process - make hotspot-clickable pano (aka scene)> create nodes --------- project > new > scene maker set hot spots and scene // these are data files, in case u need to redo anthing drag and drop your pano (in the prject manager window) into your currently open Scne maker window scene maker: create nodes: click the URL node type, and click in the scene white area, // the globe should appear set links: click on the arrow, and go to the white area to connect your pano node to the link node // the link should be created place as many nodes as you want, link as many as u like...etc.. set the URL's for each.. process - make hotspot-clickable pano (aka scene) > make the hotspots --------- //if it says the node is not made, make it (the panorama needs to be made) select the pano node scene > edit hot spots // enters the hot spots editing // all your links will be available. hot spot editor select your first link, and select either you want a rectangular hotspot, circular hotspot or polygonal hostpot go down to your pano strip, and create the hot spots repeat until finsihed all hotspots exit hot spot editor process - make scene --------- scene maker> settings check your settings, eg make sure your viewing size is right scene maker> make scene
